Kathryn and Marques Crown Plaza Union Station - October 26th 2013

Kathryn and Marques had a beautiful reception where they got to spend time with friends and family and also have a great time at the always breath taking Crowne Plaza Union Station. Their reception was beautifully decorated in gold and black and featured a cool taffy wagon!
I had a total blast helping to jump start this new beginning! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Keys!

Adrienne and Skylar Marriott Keystone - October 18th 2013

I'm so thrilled that I got to share such a wonderful evening with these two!
Adrienne and Skylar are two of the nicest people you could ever want to meet and their friends and family were in great spirits to help them celebrate their marriage at one of my favorite places in town, the Marriott North - Jordan Berg (soon to be Allen) and her staff rocks!

The night started with a cocktail hour with passed hordourves in the grand foyer.
After the introductions the couple cut the cake to
       Smile – Uncle Kracker
First Dance
Feels like home – Chantal Kreviazuk

One of my favorite moments was a surprise to Adrienne's parents. At their wedding, the DJ did not have their first dance song - so Adrienne surprised her parents by dedicating the song to them that night. Such a great unexpected treat. The song?
Jack Wagner "Love can take us all the way".
That's them above : )

First dance – Feels like home – Chantal Kreviazuk

Father Daughter dance – My wish – Rascal Flatts

Mother Son dance – Your song – Ewan McGregor

Bouquet toss Beyonce (Single Ladies) Garter toss – Bad boys (Cops)

Can't wait to see the pics!

Adrienne and Skylar,
thanks for choosing me to serve as your DJ and thanks to your friends for introducing me to

A couple of days after the wedding Adrienne's Mom Angie was nice enough to review me on Wedding Wire.

"Mark did a fabulous job at our daughter's wedding reception! He was very professional and organized, and played a nice variety of music so that young and old alike could enjoy themselves. His sound system is top-notch quality, and he had several good ideas for us on keeping the reception running smoothly. His price was very reasonable. We have 3 more weddings in our future, and will definitely use Mark again!"

I look forward to seeing you all again and again and again!

Angie and Patrick - Oak Hill Mansion October 11th 2013

This may have technically been called a wedding reception but it was really a PAR-TAY!
Angie, Patrick and their guests had a wild time last Friday night - It really was blur!

The couple had their wedding ceremony and reception at Oak Hill Mansion on a beautiful Autumn afternoon.  Angie walked down the aisle with her Mom to "I'm Yours" Jason Mraz.  "Jammin" by Bob Marley served as the recessional song.

For dinner, we did a musical release to the buffet table. Each table was assigned a fun song and when the guests heard their song played it was their turn to head to the buffet. It went over very well.

The couple danced their first dance to "Mirrors" Justin Timerlake.
Angie danced with her Mom to "I hope you dance" Lee Ann Womack
Patrick danced with his Mom to "All that I got is you" - Ghostface Killah.
You see, Patrick is a semi-pro rapper and  if you watch the video below, you can see him perform at his wedding! My Flip video does not do him justice though. Here is a link to his facebook page

A great time was had by all - Even some of Oak Hill's staff got out there to have some fun!

Here is some video from the night. The first 2 minutes features Patrick and his friend rapping with the guests eating it up!

Angie was kind enough to post a weddingwire review just a couple of days after the wedding. Here is what she said.

I could not have asked for a better DJ for my ceremony and reception. I live in Chicago, and got married in Carmel. I never had time to meet with Mark in person before my wedding, but he responded to every email promptly, skyped with us, and was able to make our day everything that we wanted it to be and more. I was not a bride that was into small details, and gave Mark a lot of "you can decide" answers. His decisions were perfect and he used the bits of info that I did give him to provide us with amazing music! I definitely recommend Mark. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks Angie and Patrick - It was my pleasure!

It was great working with Jennifer Beth at Oak Hill Mansion and photographer Lisa Walker.

Kelsey and Jarreth - SkyLine Club October 12th 2013

If you are looking to have a great party, let me recommend having it at the incredible Sky Line Club and invite some Australians!
Kelsey met and fell in love with Jarreth while going to school in Australia and many of his friends and family members from the land down under (yes it was played) made the trip to attend and enjoyed themselves fully at this great celebration.
I'm sure there were some sore feet Sunday morning because there was non-stop dancing for close to 4 hours! Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the Skyline Club's Bistro and then collected their mini pumpkin place card holders that helped them find their seats for dinner.

After dinner, Kelsey and Jarreth cut the cake to the song "I can't help myself (Sugar pie honey bunch)" - Jess Mauboy.

 Cake by Classic Cakes

The couple shared their first dance to "Everything" By Michael Buble.
The Father Daughter dance song was "Colour my world" Chicago.
The Mother Son dance song was "How sweet it is" James Taylor.

I found out Aussies do a line dance to Nutbush City Limits by Tina Turner although Kelsey may be dancing to the Cupid Shuffle here.
It was a pleasure working with Sky Line Club's event coordinator Kelsey Snyder and for the 3rd time in 2 months, photographer Anne Buskirk. < Check her out!

Congratulations Kelsey and Jarreth and thanks for letting me serve as your DJ for your fun & fantastic wedding reception!

Vanessa and Jeff - Indianapolis Downtown Library October 5th

The internet is responsible for many things, but maybe it's most important contribution is bringing people together who would otherwise never meet. It brought my wife and I together (for example) and it brought Vanessa, who is of Chinese decent, and Jeff who who is Jewish together. Both cultures intertwined and were celebrated last night in a wedding that that was romantic, dramatic and yet like the couple, relaxed and down to earth. The wedding took place at the incredibly beautiful Indianapolis Marion County downtown library.
The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour were both held in the Simon reading room with Cecilia Strings providing the music. Guests then made their way to the library's Atrium for dinner.

The flowers and the amazing centerpieces that went beyond the bride's expectations by Bokay Florists.

The couple were cheered by the guests as they were introduced to "All you need is love" by the Beatles.
Jeff then welcomed the guests and his Daughter gave the blessing in Hebrew over the Challah bread.

A delicious Chinese preparation of chicken and vegetables was served by Thomas catering while I played a variety of music from musicals and movies. It was a stormy night so "Singing in the rain" by Gene Kelly and "Raindrops keep falling on my head" by B.J. Thomas fit right in. After dinner the couple cut the beautifully detailed cake provided by Sweet Seductions to the traditional song (if you are in China) by Zhou Xuan "Blooming Flowers and the full moon".

Vanessa and Jeff shared their first dance to Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable".

Hava Negilla  (Let us rejoice) got everyone on the dance floor to dance the Hora and the party continued into the night wrapping up with the guests forming a circle of love with Vanessa and Jeff dancing in the center to "Here there everywhere" by the Beatles followed by a sparkler sendoff.

It was a treat to once again work with Photographer Ian Borgerhoff and Videographer's Brandon and Cybil New with Cybil Brandon Cinematography.

A very special thanks to wedding planner's Deborah Bowman and Cassie Smith with A Touch of Elegance.
This was their last wedding and it has been a great privilege working with them the last few years.
Deborah and Cassie - Everyone in the Indianapolis wedding industry admired your work, dedication, kindness and devotion to your clients - We will miss you, but hope for a bright future to you and your families.
