Vanessa and Jeff - Indianapolis Downtown Library October 5th

The internet is responsible for many things, but maybe it's most important contribution is bringing people together who would otherwise never meet. It brought my wife and I together (for example) and it brought Vanessa, who is of Chinese decent, and Jeff who who is Jewish together. Both cultures intertwined and were celebrated last night in a wedding that that was romantic, dramatic and yet like the couple, relaxed and down to earth. The wedding took place at the incredibly beautiful Indianapolis Marion County downtown library.
The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour were both held in the Simon reading room with Cecilia Strings providing the music. Guests then made their way to the library's Atrium for dinner.

The flowers and the amazing centerpieces that went beyond the bride's expectations by Bokay Florists.

The couple were cheered by the guests as they were introduced to "All you need is love" by the Beatles.
Jeff then welcomed the guests and his Daughter gave the blessing in Hebrew over the Challah bread.

A delicious Chinese preparation of chicken and vegetables was served by Thomas catering while I played a variety of music from musicals and movies. It was a stormy night so "Singing in the rain" by Gene Kelly and "Raindrops keep falling on my head" by B.J. Thomas fit right in. After dinner the couple cut the beautifully detailed cake provided by Sweet Seductions to the traditional song (if you are in China) by Zhou Xuan "Blooming Flowers and the full moon".

Vanessa and Jeff shared their first dance to Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable".

Hava Negilla  (Let us rejoice) got everyone on the dance floor to dance the Hora and the party continued into the night wrapping up with the guests forming a circle of love with Vanessa and Jeff dancing in the center to "Here there everywhere" by the Beatles followed by a sparkler sendoff.

It was a treat to once again work with Photographer Ian Borgerhoff and Videographer's Brandon and Cybil New with Cybil Brandon Cinematography.

A very special thanks to wedding planner's Deborah Bowman and Cassie Smith with A Touch of Elegance.
This was their last wedding and it has been a great privilege working with them the last few years.
Deborah and Cassie - Everyone in the Indianapolis wedding industry admired your work, dedication, kindness and devotion to your clients - We will miss you, but hope for a bright future to you and your families.
